U.S. figure skating star Ilia Malinin is set to make his 2026 Winter Olympics debut as part of the team event at the Milano Cortina Games.

Fans of figure skating will have plenty of opportunities to catch one of the most-watched sports in the Olympic program during the 2026 Milano Cortina Olympics. Once again, there will be five Olympic figure skating medal events: men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs, ice dance and the team event.

World champions Ilia Malinin, Alysa Liu, and Madison Chock and Evan Bates will headline the squad. With three world champions in three out of four divisions, the United States is sending its best figure skating squad to the Winter Olympics in 20 years.

The three-time world champions, Chock and Bates are the favorites to win individual Olympic gold later in the Winter Games.
